LiveKiosk at NECC 2006
We set up 20 EZWebPC machines at the National Educational Computing Conference in San Diego last week as part of our Open Source lab. They were a spectacular hit. Not only were they busy almost all of the three days of the show, there were times when there were two or three people in line to use them.
We ran the CD version of EZWebPC on old P3 IBM Thinkpads, putting external scroll mice with each one. There wasn't a single problem with them during the show--when I talked about the kiosks before each of our lab sessions, I could see people's eyes go wide as I would describe how they could run for years without ever requiring a reboot or any maintenance.
I do love this product. :)

Steve, it seems to me that LiveKiosk is a great product for an interesting niche market. I could think of so many places where this would be a great fit. Thanks for including CalendarHub in your portal as we are excited to offer our free service to everyone.
Are there any plans to provide authentication services? Like to allow a vendor to sell passwords to users?
Well, if you are asking if we have a reseller program, we do not. But it's on our to-do list! Contact us directly if you are interested.
hi
what about messenger programs for aim, msn, yahoo messebger (yim)???? those are also things that customers look out for on an internet cafe as I have seen many cases of that. that would need to be added to your live cd
Regarding instant messaging programs: we're quite fond of the web-based Meebo.com site, which allows auto-login to multiple services, all from the web. Give it a try. A much cleaner solution for a kiosk than loading and updating standalone programs... :)
