FAQ
Introduction
LiveKiosk™ is a Linux-based software program that runs a locked-down version of the Firefox web browser as the only interface to the user. In essense, the browser becomes the operating system. This so simplifies the operating of a computer that it is both highly secure and low- to no-maintenance.
Free Version
You can download LiveKiosk™ for free here. While the .iso image is approximately 140MB, once downloaded it can be copied and on more than one computer.
After downloading, you need to burn the .iso file as a CD-ROM image (Windows XP users can use the free program ISO Recorder from here. Then set the bios of the computer that will be your WebPC to boot from the CD-ROM drive first, place the CD-ROM in the drive, and reboot the computer. EZWebPC™ is then loaded, and the program opens up just a Firefox web browser window from which you can browse the web. The computer does need to be connected to an Internet-ready network that will give it an IP address. All user data is deleted when the window is closed, which then reopens to Firefox again.

Sound
Sound has worked on some machines we have tested here, and not on others. We believe that few isa cards are supported, so you may need to add a pci sound card to get sound.
Wireless
EZWebPC Free doesn't support WEP or WPA security and will only work on open wireless access point. The Atheros wireless chipset seems to work the best. Here is a link of a list of Atheros based wireless cards that should work with EZWebPC. http://atheros.rapla.net/
